Vetoryl: Notes from our vet
If you notice your dog becoming slower than usual or starting to lose their shiny coat, it can be easy to think they are just getting older. But this could be a sign that they are ill. Cushing’s disease is one of the most common diseases of older or middle aged dogs. Caused by too much cortisol in the blood if left untreated it can have very harmful effects. Dogs with the disease may be drinking or eating more than usual, panting, losing their fur or not wanting to walk and play.
Although the disease can’t be cured it can be managed with Vetoryl capsules which work to reduce the amount of cortisol your dog produces. This is the only licenced medicine to treat Cushing’s disease and will need to be prescribed by your vet.
You should monitor your dog closely when they are taking Vetoryl to make sure they don’t suffer any side effects. You will also need to visit your vet regularly to check the dose is right for your pet.
You should see your dog’s drinking and eating habits get back to normal in a few weeks, but other symptoms may take longer to improve, sometimes up to 6 months. If your dog starts being sick or has diarrhoea, severe lethargy or anorexia then you should stop giving them the drug and ask your vet for help immediately. So always make sure that you take any changes in your dog’s behaviour seriously and get a vet to look at them. If they do have Cushing’s disease then with the right treatment you will soon see that there can be life in your old dog yet.

Superb product at a very competitive price and promptly delivered as is always the case whenever I've ordered from them.
Best price I've found online and a very quick delivery service. I only went for the standard delivery and it was 24hrs when ordered on a Sunday even after all the snow we had
Item arrived quickly but sadly did not work for my dog.

Excellent service. Items arrive very quickly, usually within two days of ordering. Have been using them for a couple of years now and items are very cheap compared with vets and pet stores.

Hi Kimberley, we're sorry to hear this. Sometimes fleas can be pesky things to get rid of. On average, 95% of fleas are in the home, with only 5% on the animal itself so it is essential to ensure that the home is treated in addition to the pet. If you would like advice on effective flea control, we can offer a free consultancy by phone with one of our vets. You can either arrange this by requesting on our website or calling us on 0344 748 0108. Regards, Pippa
Always prompt service sometimes delivered next day. cannot fault them.
Price very reasonable much cheaper than the vets.
Very good service as usual - updated my 3 monthly prescription for our dog and ordered the relevant tablets and we received them in the post a couple of days later.
No Fuss, no bother, prompt delivery and the medication suits our dog ideally. We live in a very high tick area and he has been free since we began using Bob Martins. Excellent product, excellent service. Well done.
